Limerick – site visit for Gay Games
Posted by EILE Magazine on July 13, 2013 in Events, LGBT, Sport

Although this video by Federation of Gay Games was released on lst June, it is worth looking at again, now that the site inspection by FGG is over. It lists the original bidders for the 2018 games, and then announces the three finalists, one of which is Limerick, and the others London and Paris.

It is only by watching this video that you can appreciate the amount of work done so far by the Limerick bid team to get to this stage, and if chosen as the finalist, the amount of work which actually hosting the Gay Games will entail.

A site inspection team visited Limerick on July 3rd, and visited various sites, including the University of Limerick, where most of the events will take place. Thomond Park was proposed as the venue for the Opening Ceremony. The inspection team left for Paris on July 7th. Until the winning bid is chosen, it will be everything crossed for Limerick!

Good luck to everyone involved.

Any and all donations to the bid will be gratefully received, no matter how small.

Thank you comrade for viewing this blog and thank you for your willingness to voluntarily contribute to the work. I guess you are aware that in this part of the world freedoms are very limited and we only hope to win this battle through massive information/education.

I sincerely welcome you, fellow writers and bloggers to join in.
